Internet media type: application/vnd.apple.mpegurl[edit]

Yeah that’s good for the macOS but shouldn't it be pointed out that under Windows we use “application/x-mpegURL” instead?

vod vs live[edit]

that table of client support was rather cryptic, what's the difference between VOD and Live? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.191.60.249 (talk) 14:36, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some mention of this on the ALAC/Apple Lossless talk page, so added here as a reference place maker. Jimthing (talk) 17:10, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

grammar/spelling[edit]

Someone needs to address this. I don't have the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.50.88.56 (talk) 20:37, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't understand this sentence. It may need to be clarified.[edit]

"In this case is generated a different flows with the same quality video and locations are listed in the index file."

Thank you. 219.89.201.169 (talk) 22:18, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mozilla Firefox?[edit]

In the list of Clients I am missing Mozilla Firefox. Can someone add the relevant info (I am unfortunately not technical enough to do this) or is there a specific reason to omit Firefox? Regards from beautiful Hamburg in Germany 91.47.186.218 (talk) 14:05, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

WMP / DirectShow lav filters[edit]

With lav filters m3u8 and hls / applehttp can be opened in GraphEdit with Seeking working (most simple DirectShow supporting players) but support with WMP may not work (at least with version I have). 91.155.16.162 (talk |Contribs) 11:21, 19 July 2018

Windows 11 Media Player[edit]

Windows 11 has an updated media player that supports hls playlists. I don't know how to test if it supports drm. Perrinpages (talk) 12:34, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
