Pic?[edit]

Have we got a pic of this man? It would vastly improve the article and would make for a far better picture than that eyesore we have now... DoomsDay349 04:06, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We had some good pics, but they have been deleted for some reason..

"Grand Order of Merit" Why isn't this called the Federal Cross of merit or the Bundesverdienstkreuz? It could then be linked to that aticle also87.234.85.172 15:02, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Qualificated[edit]

This edit [1] led to speculation in Tony Barber's Financial Times BrusselsBlog [2] of deliberate promotion of Pöttering’s candidacy on Wikipedia.--Rumping (talk) 09:33, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

75 % of national law figure[edit]

In the youtube video cited as a source, Pöttering is in fact talking about the European Parliament´s participation in 75 % of EU legislation, a figure which would increase to 100 % participation under the Lisbon treaty. There is no mention of the EU passing 100 % of national law. The Subtitles in the video are misleading. The source, apparently uploaded by the eurosceptic UKIP party, is not reliable. The passage in the article should be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.153.68.6 (talk) 11:49, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
