Leg span[edit]

Unsourced claim of 8" (20cm) leg span seems highly dubious - probably based purely on anectodal Chinese bird spider stuff. -- Boing! said Zebedee 09:33, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

The picture labeled H. lividum here appears to be a lampropelma 'singapore blue'... can anyone verify or disprove this?--Williamsburgland (talk) 00:21, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like H.lividum to me (I've kept several of them) - but I haven't seen a Lampropelma sp, so if they're very similar then I could be mistaken. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:35, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I posted it on arachnoboards to see if anyone else can ID it... if there are any other editors you know of please feel free to have them chime in...--Williamsburgland (talk) 15:40, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Genera related to Lampropelma, Cyriopagopus, etc. are known to be confused/confusing. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:32, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

The World Spider Catalog now treats Haplopelma as a synonym of Cyriopagopus. I've moved all relevant material there and made this a redirect. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:33, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
