Filming[edit]

It appears that this whole movie was filmed using a GoPro. We should make a mention of that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lollollolll (talkcontribs) 23:55, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Good call.--Bernie44 (talk) 11:42, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Budget[edit]

I suggest to remove the "budget" section altogether until there's a very reliable source, such as an interview with one of the film's creators. Most media seem to take numbers from each other or from this very Wikipedia article.Beaumain (talk) 08:12, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I had to remove it again. inverse.com is not a reliable source for a movie budget. They refer to another news media, uproxx.com, as their source of information, and uproxx.com does not tell where they got this numbers. It seems to confuse for production budget the sum STX Entertainment paid for the worldwide rights, according to Forbes and to Deadline.
  • The actual production budget was, most likely, 2 million. This number is cited in several other sources, such as this and this. However, I suggest we should keep it blank and dig for a better source, such as an interview with movie's creators, or a professional estimate. Beaumain (talk) 15:44, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Movie production & IndieGoGo campaign[edit]

I added a line in Production to enhance how fundamental has been the crowdfunding campaign for this type of cinematographic product and the fact that the backers have never received any perk out of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IngaSmith (talkcontribs) 16:27, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

IngaSmith, the problem is that your source is unacceptable – you are using reader comments at the bottom of the indiegogo funding page. Wikipedia has a policy against using reader comments as a source, which you can read at WP:USERGENERATED. So until a better source appears, the issue cannot be placed into the article. Binksternet (talk) 19:25, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Binksternet, Hi, thank you for joining the talk.
About your point regarding the source, you say "you are using reader comments at the bottom of the indiegogo funding page", the Indiegogo funding page has the campaign video at the top left, and directly under it there are several tabs: "Story", "Updates", "Comments" and "Backers". Contrary to what you say, at the bottom of the funding page there are only Indiegogo links to internal and external pages regarding related and not related content. This makes me think you didn't give the proper attention verifying the source, so I invite you to please check it again.
Particularly important is the "Updates" page, which was also referred to in my edit, only the campaign managers can add content, so actually that is a very reliable source, which you didn't even consider before your impetuous decision to repeatedly revert the edit. What's "the problem" with that?
Regarding the comments section you're referring to, which was only one of the sources added in the paragraph, I see why it can be topic of discussion, so the reason why I consider it reliable are that:
- the comments section is just a small fraction of the content presented in the page and referred to in my edit, in respect to WP:USERGENERATED paragraph, which is clear when stating that are not reliable only "Content from websites whose content is largely user-generated".
- Also, only backers can post in that section, not everyone, so things such as fake comments or fake users can't exist like in sites with user-generated content which are rightly considered unreliable for obvious reasons.
Do you agree with any of that? --IngaSmith (talk) 16:36, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for pointing out the "Updates" link which shows two posts by Inga Smith and one post by Ilya Naishuller. These three posts by "campaign managers" as you call them announce delays and some of the perks being sent out. They do not support your text about perks never arriving. The text about perks never arriving is still based on reader comments, and not allowed.
Now that I have seen the Inga Smith posts on the Indiegogo page, I have a very sharp concern about your username. You are obviously attacking the Inga Smith who announced Blu-Ray discs, hats and posters sent out, since the text you added here said that Inga Smith promised perks but they never arrived. So I'm afraid your username will have to be blocked because Wikipedia has a policy about usernames that falsely represent living persons. See WP:MISLEADNAME. Payday 2 Crossover[edit]

I see no mention of the crossover done with the video game Payday 2. Should this be mentioned anywhere, or is it not important enough to be brought up? Or it is mentioned, and I just missed it. Omega9872 (talk) 15:54, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
