Vandalism by joking?[edit]

I have deleted these sentences, which appeared in the introductory paragraph, as scurrilous:

It ceased to exist at midnight on 31st December 1999. Extensive searches have taken place but no trace has been found. A small vigil takes place on the last Sunday of every month in Preston Gubbals to commemorate the disappearance.

I also suspect this of being vandalism but consider it more constructive to leave it in the text until someone can find a proper etymology for the place name:

The name Harmer comes from the two words "Artic log (disambiguation)" and [Dream topping]],...

I have also removed some vandalism on the page, claiming that the place was entirely inhabited by Inuit and that it dates back to the Byzantine period. Clearly someone has too much time on their hands.Martin Turner (talk) 19:08, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
