Notes[edit]

My intent here was to create an article that would be useful to people wanting to identify or distinguish between different Harmony guitar models. There are a lot of different models so the descriptions are likely to be brief. The harmony.demont.net site is an invaluable site and I'm not attempting to replicate it here.

The relevant information that (ideally) each model should have are:

  • What woods it is made out of and any unique construction information.
  • Finish type(s).
  • What years it was made and any differences over the years.
  • Pickup type (if applicable).

Also some pictures will be nice to have eventually. Definitely one "poster child" per category (electric, archtop, flattop, etc).

imminent merge, and call for improvement[edit]

Aside from one editor (now defunct) who visited exactly twice, this article has seen human edit attention two times in four years. Nevertheless, I am serving notice of intent to merge Harmony Company models into Harmony Company; discussion may be had at the latter's Talk page. A countercase will need to be very thorough to dissuade me.

But I believe that this article is on the right track, though it doesn't live up to the remit offered by the title. I intend the move as a means to resurrect and nurture its original intent.

Furthermore, this article suffred greatly by the ill-advised "edit" performed by Drmies 03:25 9 October 2013, which slashed the article from 6,089 bytes to 1,881, and clearly discouraged further attempts at improvement (the subsequent "two times in four years" I mentioned). While highly imperfect, I am reverting that cut as a basis for improvement.

…and it's been re-deleted by an "editor" incapable of explaining itself on a Talk page and too slothful to propose deletion — much less to do any (say) EDITING. Rather than lower myself to engage in a battle of (half-) wits, I'll let it stand as a tribute to ineptitude.
