Well if you do a search on their website for "Hatch Associates" then you will find numerous hits in many official documents. Hatch Ltd (Canada), Hatch Pty Ltd (Australia) etc is a contraction of the official name of Hatch Associates. The word associates is used due to the ownership of structure of the company i.e. it is owned by the company associates. Also I have plenty of offical documents with the title "Hatch Associates", plus the fact that the official email signature has the title "Hatch Associates" rather than "Hatch", I think it's pretty conclusive what the official title of the company is. qwertytam 03:24, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are both correct (I work for Hatch so I checked our internal sites)......

Legal name in Canada is Hatch Ltd. We prefer to be known as Hatch in all regions. There are several legal names for Hatch, usually based on jurisdiction; such as Hatch Ltd. in Canada, in Chile Hatch Ingenieros y Consultores Ltda, etc. When we refer to Hatch plus its subsidiaries and partnerships, Hatch becomes The Hatch Group.

Also, I don't know where the reference to buying Billiton Engineering originates; I can't find it on our history 59.154.26.84 (talk) 07:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
