Serious rewrite or deletion required[edit]

Maybe this article should just link to the separate Hausa and Fulani articles?

Somebody with the appropriate knowledge could probably write something worthwhile about the social structure of the Hausa-Fulani dominated parts of northern Nigeria but I don't know enough about it.

I've edited a little bit to make it more readable and removed information that belongs in articles about either the [Hausa] or the [Fulani]. Orourkek 13:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Problem is that this term is used as such and is often misunderstood. I've seen references in Nigerian press for instance to "Hausa-Fulani tribe" which is misleading. On the Fulani (Fula people) Wikipedia article, someone put Hausa people - among all the population groups the Fulani interact with - in the "see also" section (I will change to Hausa-Fulani). The article could certainly use work, but should be kept.--A12n (talk) 15:19, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
