Access[edit]

The article says, "The public used to be able to walk across the top of Hauser Dam (which provided easy access to both sides of the river), but the dam was closed to the public after the September 11 attacks." But access was apparently restored at some point, according to Century of service: Turbines at Hauser Dam to be removed for refurbishing, which says, "Pedestrians may be temporarily prohibited from walking across the dam as equipment is set up and the turbine unit lifted to the waiting truck."

There's also Hauser Dam off-limits to pedestrians during construction, dated Sept 2004, which says "Hauser Dam will be off-limits to pedestrian traffic for the next two weeks... I've rewritten it to match the source, but I agree with Tim...There should be something somewhere to verify the observation that it had reopened. Perhaps eliminate it altogether until or unless we find a source for the other end? Realistically, it's out of date WP:RECENT. Everything was locked down after 9/11. It's open, but my sources are blogs. But convincing ones, this one has photos of the people standing there. This one doesn't have dam photos but expressly says you cross the dam to the trail. Also an amateur map. Montanabw(talk) 08:50, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
