Havant is not a particularly high-crime area, as demonstrated by the figures at http://www.upmystreet.com/local/police-crime/l/Havant.html Whitepaw 21:48, 2005 Jun 13 (UTC)

Well, as someone who lives in the surrounding area, I personally see vandalism and police cars around on an almost daily basis, in stark contrast to other areas such as Westbourne or Emsworth, or even bigger places such as Chichester - so don't cite population/size as a factor. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia. Or are we only allowed to reveal facts that don't offend the sensibilities of those who attempt to make the world look rosey? Are you a member of the thought police?

I also happen to live in the area, at least outside of term time. Other than the remains of the derelict petrol station North of the Burger King, I have seen no sign of vanalism south of the Meridian center, and only minute quantities elsewhere, e.g. grafitti on the westmost footpath between West St. and the bus station, and also on the bus station itself.
I have actually looked up the crime figures for Chichester [1] (Westbourne and Emsworth are part of the same statisics region), but you cannot reasonably say Havant has "high" crime levels when we do not deviate significantly from the national average – try Nottingham [2] for that. You cannot even say we are high for our region, as Portsmouth has more crime [3] (and Portsmouth itself isn't particularly far off the national average itself!)
I have provided evidence that that crime is not significantly different in Havant compared to elsewhere; if you would care to cite evidence of your own that shows otherwise, this would help greatly. Until that time, I consider your addition to be false.
In addition, last I checked, the council housing was mainly confined to Leigh Park, which has it's own page, if you want to edit it.
Finally, would you kindly refrain from sarcasm, as it is unhelpful.

fine mate - have it your way.

Wikipedia just went down in my estimations. If there are people like you regulating content based on pride or some other form of denial, the accuracy of the information is hardly any good - is it?

No sarcasm there mate, I'm flat out serious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.250.24.60 (talk)

Climate[edit]

The citation link for the climate box currently goes to http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/averages/regmapavge.html — which currently says "Page not found". I don't have time to fix this myself, and I don't know how to alert anyone else other than by adding this comment on the talk page. 90.187.68.145 (talk) 16:45, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've marked it as dead-link. That said the table is at least renders badly on wider screens.Djm-leighpark (talk) 17:04, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
