Untitled[edit]

I have removed irrelevant (and potentially libellous) 'tourist information'. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a tour guide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_an_indiscriminate_collection_of_information And as villages go Haworth isn't small.86.129.40.6 16:35, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Haworth Cat Rescue[edit]

Another editor has removed this text from the Haworth article as "blatant advertising" -

<nowicki>Haworth is home to a long established cat rescue centre, which has a policy of not putting a healthy animal to sleep. The centre won an award in 1998 for being the best cat rescue centre in the UK.[1]</nowicki>

It was not my intention for the entry to be a blatant advert. However, I consider that an entry in the article of Haworth Cat Rescue is justified because a) it has been established in excess of 10 years, and b) it has achieved national recognition for the work that is done. Is there any way of rewriting this so that it could be part of the Haworth article? Mjroots (talk) 21:21, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Holly[edit]

Hi I removed a line on scroggling the holly as I felt is was a mere statement of personal opinion and was not backed up by a citation of source.As it was quite possibly likely to harm tourism to the area and as it added nothing to the factual information on Haworth it seemed unfair to leave it in the Haowrth article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lynmariecunliffe (talk • contribs) 13:28, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Village not a Small Town[edit]

The article says that Haworth is a "Small Town" and not a village. I'm a local and I've never heard it being referred to as a Town. Here are a few local sources which state that it is a village [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]. I'm changing it from small town to village on the article. IJA (talk) 20:24, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
