GA Review[edit]

Article primarily fails on criterion 3 (broadness of coverage) and criterion 5 (stability) of the good article criteria. Some minor issues with criterion 1 (prose and grammar), as the article could use a good copyedit and clean up and wikify some of the text. The prose gets a little choppy at times. Primarily, the article fails to address the importance of the building. Why is there a wikipedia article about this? What is the significance of this building? The article is mainly written in the style of a new building announcement or press release for Marshall University, and could really be condensed into 2-3 sentences and placed into the article on Marshall University. It should also be pointed out that the article on the university itself is not yet a GA, so perhaps the editor's time would be better spent on getting that article up to GA status, rather than on a rather unremarkable and incomplete building on the campus.

Furthermore, I raise the issues with criterion 5 (stability), not on the fact that the article has undergone rapid edits (most edits to the article are by one person), but moreso due to the fact that the building is not due to begin construction until July, and not due to be completed until 2009, so much is very likely to change between now and then. This is also illustrated by the 'future building' template attached to the article. Dr. Cash 21:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the comments! I'm still learning what is and is not acceptable to the GA process. While I do not agree that condensing the building to a few sentences would be adequate, since there is a page devoted to the structures of the university (the page would become very lengthy), I will take in the suggestions and improve this and the Marshall University article.
