=holdings requires addition========

In addition to the Midland (Michigan) Daily News, Hearst Corp. owns the Midland (Texas) Reporter-Telegram. I know. I used to work there.

---add it. It may be a child-company of a major holding. Mmmpotatoes 04:21, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Not sure what "a child-company of a major holding" is, but the Midland Reporter-Telegram is a Hearst newspaper.

=updated based on recent acquisitions========

I updated the newspaper list -- and top co. info -- based on Hearst's recent (Aug 2008) newspaper acquisitions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.185.164.128 (talk) 18:30, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

William Randolph Hearst's homosexuality

I removed the frase: "....and an open homosexual..." I don't think this is necessary information for the article. (Antonio.sierra 08:30, 16 June 2007 (UTC)) 216.101.109.148 22:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Phrase is spelled wrong22:42, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Early history

This article needs more info on the early history (eg. how it was founded) as well as some of the most important years under W.R.Hearst I. 65.166.89.2 (talk) 14:21, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Child slavery

Could we add a link to Child labor & Newsboys Strike of 1899 to show what Hearst was like? Stars4change (talk) 17:45, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

MOTOR Magazine and repair manuals

Hearst's MOTOR magazine (started in 1903) and MOTOR'S Auto Repair Manual need their own articles. Some time in the early 1970's the repair manual name was changed to MOTOR Auto Repair Manual, that's how it is on the 1975 38th Edition. MOTOR Magazine is still published in print and online. There's articles for Chilton, Haynes and Clymer as well as for the British and Australian Autocar/Motor/The Motor magazines. Hearst's MOTOR magazine was also published in many international versions. Fitch

Isn't Hearst also involved in Fitch? --Edroeh (talk) 13:09, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
