Article title[edit]

Hi Schwede66. I moved the article because the mayoress disambiguation is confusing. While Black was a community worker and a politician, she was never a mayor, but rather the wife of Robert Black (mayor). I'd be open to other disambiguators, (politician) I suppose or (community worker), but her full name seemed to be the best option. gobonobo + c 17:47, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I respectfully disagree, which is why I reversed the move. In Commonwealth countries at least, the wife of a mayor is referred to as a mayoress (and if the mayor is a widower, I’ve seen other female relatives stand in who then also are referred to as mayoress). As such, the disambiguator seems fine to me. I regard "politician" as unsuitable as she was only ever a political candidate who never gained office. I could live with "community worker" but prefer "mayoress". If you want to change it, gobonobo, I suggest a formal move request would be appropriate to get wider input.
