Melanism in Biston betularia (Peppered Moth)[edit]

This article includes a large amount of material relating to the research of Kettlewell on melanism in the Peppered Moth. Most of this is not NPOV as it includes substantially the position of author's hostile to the work because they are hostile to the scientific basis of natural selection. Specifically this is references to Judith Hooper's 'Of Moths and Men' which cannot be regarded as a reliable source for this work. Whilst there were some methodological weaknesses in Kettlewell's experimental design, the more recent work of Majerus was designed both to replicate Kettlewell's experiments and to resolve those weaknesses. I'm a little suspicious about the extensive discussion of Gary Botting too which seems fairly ephemeral to the subject. Semudobia (talk) 13:58, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm with you there.

The article also gives an excessive amount of space to the ideas of Gary Botting. These are appropriate on Botting's own Wikipage, but distract focus when they are also laid out in full on Spurway's page. I've started to trim them.
