Hotel Stevens[edit]

I don't have a specific citation for the Hotel Stevens being demolished to make way for the Federal Building, but Commons:Image:Seattle - Hotel Stevens - 1900.jpg clearly shows it being directly behind the Burke Building. Jack Kerouac stayed there as late as 1956.[1] Pretty unlikely that another building would have been built post-1956, then demolished in 1971. But solid citation would be welcome; also, there may have been something else on the 1st Ave side of the block besides that hotel and the Tivoli. - Jmabel | Talk 06:54, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
