This article appears erroneous about his civil engineering appointments in the 1890s. According to his article in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (2004, article by J.S. Killick revised by John Hibbs), he was "engineer and surveyor" to the Ffestiniog Local Board in 1892 and to Malvern Urban District Council in 1895, both local authorities who employed highway engineers, and not to the railway companies mentioned in this page, cited to the Glyn Valleys Railway Trust website. I also point out that the citation link to the latter appears to be 'dead', so I cannot check their information.Cloptonson (talk) 11:50, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Clotptonson. Thanks for your recent improvements to this page. It looks like the Glyn Valleys page is now here. Looking at it now (I wrote the part you are referring to eight years ago!) you are right - I took the reference to Ffestiniog and Malvern, with no other context, to be railways not local authorities. Please feel free to make the correction. All the best - Dumelow (talk) 07:15, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
