An absurd over-emphasis here upon a single op-ed article. This really needs work. --Christofurio (talk) 20:54, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adam Smith necktie quote confusion[edit]

Either there's an extra quote mark or a missing quote mark there... AnonMoos (talk) 06:12, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would love to see a discussion of the law in respect to climate change ad climate change denial[edit]

This example would allow to show a few weak points with the law. And why maybe political action can be necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.105.231.52 (talk) 10:08, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Stein did not receive his PhD in 1958[edit]

I made this same calculation based on his introduction to Fiscal Revolution. But Presidential Economics, p39, states: In 1935 when I was a graduate student ... at the University of Chicago. It does not say when he earned the Doctorate, but surely it did not take 23 years. Surely he held a doctorate while he worked at a private research organization. 2600:1700:4000:C950:C6A:9B8B:5BA:AF1B (talk) 16:03, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The footnote reference in this article for the 1958 date [Scribner Library of American Lives] is just a list of obituaries. The LA Times obit Sep 10, 1999 provides clarifying information: He completed graduate work in economics at the University of Chicago in 1938 (although he did not finish his dissertation and earn his doctorate until 1958) and began his Washington career as an economist for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. =end= — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:4000:C950:C6A:9B8B:5BA:AF1B (talk) 16:08, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
