Restoring.[edit]

I think that this page should be restored. I see that the page was redirect protected and page protected for the "enforcement of the Articles for Deletion page," but the discussion for the deletion of the original Here We Go Again song article took place between June 12, 2009 and June 19th and the decision was made to delete the page on June 19, 2009 which was four days before the song was released to digital markets and other outlets allowing it to be up for charting. The article states June 17 as the release, but that was for the Radio Disney premiere, which doesn't mean anything in terms of eligibility in charting. Since it's release the song has charted on the Canadian Hot 100 and the Billboard Hot 100. This song, being the lead single from her forthcoming album, has all the components of a single article that can be seen in other single article such as information about the music video, release, critical reception, single art, and now charting success. The article may not have had notability then because the discussion and decision to delete the original article was made on June 19th, before the release, but in my opinion I think the article does meet notability guidelines now that it has charted. I think it should be restored.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Rockin56 (talkcontribs) 00:50, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well it is quite clear that not everyone agrees with that even now given the history of these re-directs. I think it would be better to start off with you creating the a sourced version of the article in the user space you want to create, and then we can move on from there. The history of the re-directs exists if you want to use them. Camaron · Christopher · talk 08:44, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, I do not object to the unprotection as the article is reasonable now. However, I would have appreciated it if I was consulted about it so I could have fixed the collection of re-directs, fortunately I kept this page on my watch list otherwise that would not have happened. Please note that this page is not immune from AfD if users continue to think this song does not deserve its own article, which was apparent in the history, even after release. Camaron · Christopher · talk 09:52, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
While it is not ammune from AfD, the chance that the consensus would be to delete the article again is not likely, as it meets WP:NSONG. Pokerdance (talk/contribs) 08:38, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I am sympathetic to that and the article is in better shape now than it was so my suggestions above have been implemented even if they are not as I planned. Camaron · Christopher · talk 16:19, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Weakest Single?[edit]

71.28.199.111 (talk) 05:03, 22 July 2009 (UTC)It's in the top 10 on iTunes for music video and single, so I don't think it's the WEAKEST single.[reply]

iTunes is listed at WP:BADCHARTS, so the song's performance there is irrelevant. Pokerdance (talk/contribs) 05:06, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the comment has been removed anyway. And rightly so. I accidentally looked over the fact that it performed better than "La La Land." Pokerdance (talk/contribs) 05:14, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ray Charles[edit]

The Ray Charles discography page links here. His was 15 on the US Pop chart and 5 on the US R&B chart. - Mythpush (talk) 23:23, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Ray Charles song has nothing to do with the Demi Lovato song, they are two completely different songs. Someone just linked it because they probably thought Ray Charles had the only "Here We Go Again" song and used the (song) suffix. I unlinked the link on his discography so it no longer links here.--Rockin56 (talk) 06:57, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
