Clarification on Heritage Units[edit]

I believe that the heritage unit definition in the article is not clear. We are supposed to be writing to the average Joe, who knows nothing about heritage units. Therefore, the average Joe upon further research may wonder why Veterans Units and other special units are not added to the article based on the definition currently there. How should we go about clarifying this? GenesisFan99 (talk) 00:07, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the absence of reliable sources defining and discussing this concept I don't see how this article is salvageable. Mackensen (talk) 15:11, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What about #66?[edit]

AMTK phase II #66 got in a wreck, may have been scrapped. This should be on there somewhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:190:500:D460:A8F8:82D5:2159:29DA (talk) 15:58, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

British Heritage Units[edit]

Hello Wikipedians;

I have just added two British Rail Class 43 HSTs as official heritage units for Midland Pullman as they have recently been repainted. I am also aware of other british locomotives and multiple units, such as Great Northern's class 313s and GB Railfreight's class 66s. Can anyone else please identify any british heritage units, that being new locomotives in a previous railroad's livery, and make this list truly Worldwide and complete? Let's do this.

Well that would make for a lot of units since they are quite a few that have been painted into BR liveries one such example I can provide would be British Rail Class 313 #313201 which is currently in a variation of BR blue. Slender (talk) 20:41, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, WHAT IN THE NAME OF SAM HOUSTON ZEPHYR IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?!?!?![edit]

As of December 19, 2020 (today), someone has been editing the list of heritage units for BNSF for ES44ACs within the 7100 range, and is leaving a bit of a mess of the charts. Does anyone know if any of these 38 submissions for BNSF heritage units are true, and can someone please fix the formatting for the rest of the chart? I think the person who added this made about five or six edits on this chart today regarding the BNSF "heritage units".

Thanks...

Is the chart souced? If it is unsourced then it may be removed or if it might be true we can add Citation Needed tags. Slender (talk) 20:42, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indonesian heritage units ("vintage livery")[edit]

Since 2021, Indonesian Railway has introduced some units that are using honorary paint schemes, in which the schemes were previously used but no longer used by the railway such as the cream-green 1953-1991[1] and red-blue 1991-2008[2] schemes. There are 12 units in total as of now. Is it eligible to be included in this article? Muhammad Pascal Fajrin (talk) 12:53, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
