Translation background[edit]

Just a note to say that this article was translated by me from the existing German page. I am a native English (UK) speaker, who is also fluent in German and has an academic interest in the former East Germany, as well as having studied and lived there.

This is the first translation I have undertaken for Wikipedia, so as far as the Wikipedia community, its norms and processes are concerned, I am very much a learner, and would welcome tips!

I do not yet have publishing rights for new articles or translations.

Thanks for your interest. :) LDPUK (talk) 13:41, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @LDPUK, welcome to Wikipedia! You‘re doing great so far. Writing an article, whether from scratch or by translating, is very difficult; you can read about it at WP:YFA. I see you‘re responding to the feedback you received earlier. Let me know if you want me to take a closer look at the draft again; I‘d be happy to help you with any questions or concerns. Happy editing! Actualcpscm (talk) 13:28, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've made some small changes, let me know if anything's unclear.
The sentence starting "There are two living bearers of the original 11 remaining..." is a little unclear, could you clarify that? Actualcpscm (talk) 13:45, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback from New Page Review process[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: A few dab links, but otherwise good to go.
