Herzliya Medical Center (Hebrew: הרצליה מדיקל סנטר‎) is a private hospital located in Herzliya Pituah - a neighborhood facing the Mediterranean Sea. It is the second largest private hospital in Israel (40% owned by Clalit HMO), founded in 1980's.

Herzliya Medical Center employs approximately 500 experts in all leading branches of medicine (From the hospital's official website: [1]). In 2013 the hospital provided services to nearly 8,000 outbound patients and foreign nationals in Israel: (embassy employees and U.N. representatives). Herzliya Medical Center has provided (From the hospital's official website: [2]):

  • More than 18000 surgical procedures annually
  • A total of 5,000 orthopedic procedures
  • A total of 5,600 general surgical procedures
  • A total of 1,600 Bariatric procedures

  • 1980's (exact year unknown) – the hospital was founded.
  • 1999 – The United Nations and UNDOF elected HMC the number one medical service provider in Israel.
  • 2001 – The hospital founded its exclusive department of medical tourism.
  • 2013 – Revision of Israel's Ministry of Health found that HMC is a leading medical facility scoring high grades in most tested fields (ministry of health report: [1]).

Facilities[edit]

Herzliya Medical Center is the only private clinic approved to provide psychiatric services to patients. Most of the necessary diagnostic procedures in different medical fields can be performed here :CT, MRI, mammography, US, endoscopic procedures and laboratory testing.

The physicians consulting and operating at HMC are leading experts in their respective fields, working in public hospitals all over Israel, occupying high management positions. In additions to hundreds of experts the hospital's staff includes over 120 nurses, more than 70 of which have academic degrees in addition to their general license (ministry of health report: [1]).
