COI[edit]

Mykjoseph, the editor who recently reinserted ad-like language about the building and the mention of Marshall Strabala, has claimed to represent Strabala in multiples places on WP. The issue is discussed in more detail on Talk:Marshall Strabala, especially Talk:Marshall_Strabala#Suggested_Page_Edits, and on User talk:Mykjoseph (where the history shows much discussion of Mykjoseph's editing on behalf of his firm's clients). In an interesting twist, Strabala himself was sued this week, twice, for (according to his former employers) misrepresenting the extent of his work on projects including Hess Tower.[1] This has now been added to the Strabala article here, but I'm not sure how or whether to include it on this article. Question[edit]

NovaSeminary, without any reason, you have recently removed Marshall Strabala's mention as the lead designer of the Hess Tower. This was sourced ("lead designer") from a Houston Bus. Journal story, the same publication that you conveniently approve for sourcing another section of the story. I would appreciate an explanation, as you know that many leading architects (i.e., Adrian Smith, Burj Khalifa) are often mentioned in stories related to their works. This practice has not been viewed as PR or COI, if it is indeed factual and cited by news media. NovaSeminary, unless you can tell me where in WP (no, please not another one of your own made-up rules) that it says that an interview from a source is not a credible RS, then I believe that the Houston Bus. Journal suffices as proof for WP purposes for inclusion. Whether Strabala said so in an interview or the article mentioned it separately, makes no differance at all. The fact is that the Houston Business Journal is responsible for ensuring that what it publishes -- just like any credible media outlet would be -- is indeed fact. And, I never saw Gensler write a letter to the editor to correct any mistakes about this architect's stated role as covered by Houston Business Journal -- or any other outlet for that matter. The RSs highlight conflicting quotes, then. This news article quotes Gensler as stating "Gensler, not (Strabala), is the source of the architectural and design services rendered in designing Hess Tower." Neither RS purports to have verified the truth of either quote. To satisfy WP:UNDUE we could either leave out the dispute entirely and focus on the building itself, or fully discuss the dispute, giving both quotes and citing to both RSs.
