Eats shoots and leaves[edit]

By leaving out the comma in the following sentence, the author has totally changed the meaning:
"FIFA's organisation's executive committee voted to rescind the ruling[,] allowing Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador to host World Cup qualifying games their capital cities."
Did FIFA rescind ruling that allowed Bolivia et al. to host matches, or did FIFA rescind the rule and thus Bolivia et al. could host matches? I think the latter. So, I have added the comma. Incidentally, as it is now written, there are some sentences in this article that simply make no sense. They have no primary verb. Poldy Bloom (talk) 00:30, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
