Descendants of William (1833 - 95) and Elizabeth (Hall) Tuck (1835 - 94), who lived in the Keeper's House 1870 - 95 at the head of the lane leading down to All Saints' Church, contributed to a churchyard restoration (including repair of William's grave stone, and straightening of the stones of Elizabeth and sons William, 1857 - 77, and Edward, 1868 - 1901) in 2007. William, head keeper at Hilborough from 1870, froze to death in a straw stack watching for poachers near the River Wissey on the night of St. Valentine's Day, 1895; in his pocket was 6 pounds and a gold watch.
