Merge proposal to CityCar[edit]

The Hiriko article was created in March 2011 and it is orphan, link to just one other article, CityCar, which is its field testing section discussed the Hiriko vehicle (see here). I proposed the little content from the Hiriko article that is different from the CityCar, to be merge in that section. If the Hiriko gains enough notability with time, then it might justified its own separate article.

I'm disagree with merge idea, because Hiriko is unique, it can be fold to a half and the weight is less than 500 kilograms including the heavy Li-on battery. May be it can be categorized as 'midget car'.Gsarwa (talk) 17:10, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Are you aware that CityCar is a specific project intricately linked to the Hiriko project? CityCar isn't an article about generic city cars (ie small cars useful in the inner city). Stepho talk 22:18, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry for my awareness, but now I have made lead to differentiate them in both articles. About merge, I think we have to clear first about CityCar, it is a new category or not? Please read the entire CityCar article, there is already a section about Hiriko there. The proposal is to consolidate this article there. If the Hiriko gains enough notability, as per Wikipedia policies, then it will be justified to have a separate article--Mariordo (talk) 03:41, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. At first I was supportive of the proposal, but as of the last few weeks I see that the Hiriko has gained momentum as a stand alone EU funded/supported project (see Press Release 29 Jan 2012 and ABC News EU Launch 25 January 2012) and will be quickly gaining additional material and references. Comment - following further reading, I would suggest that CityCar is merged with MIT Car, and leave Hiriko as the page for the vehicle itself rather than the project that initiated the concept.
