Reading over the page, I have some definite problems with what's been written in it. Rather than focusing on hiro's solo music career, I think the page focuses too much on her career with SPEED. While I do believe it is important to mention her part in the group, it shouldn't be the emphasis of the article. Also, this article seems to have a very big emphasis on her sexuality which may have been the talk of some internet boards, but is not the emphasis of her career. It seems hardly academic to write "However in 1999, when SPEED performed "Breakin' out to the morning", hiro surprised the audience by accentuating her voluptuous figure by wearing tight clothes." I don't have a problem with talking about someone's sexuality, but this isn't a particularly big aspect of her career. I've also never seen actual professionals make comments about her in this nature. There also seems to be a lot said based from tabloid reports and not actual given facts.

I'm going to change a lot of this article and I hope no one minds. If you object, please explain why before I do. Lastly, I think this page should be moved to "hiro" as that is her preferred stage name. NATEamx 00:20, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think the current description is very rich which is definitely good. You can enhance it but you should not deny someone's effort. So you should add descriptions but not delete it. hiroaki

Just because an article is "rich" doesn't mean it's any good. Are you saying this because you don't want the things that you wrote edited out? That whole Trivia section is attributed to you according to the history and let me just say it's probably bottom of the barrel when it comes to actual trivia. As far as editing goes, I would like to remove the passages that are not supported by fact. I don't plan on censoring the supported views of the article, but things that seem more like a fan's speculation should be left out. As a person who follows this artist and has participated in discussion forums about them, I rarely if ever see the sort of discussion written in this article about her. 2ch is not what I would consider to be a reputable source to judge her fan's thoughts about her. None of that has any real significance towards her so why it should even be mentioned, nonetheless a bulk of the article, is questionable. I will try to edit the article in a way that will make everyone happy, but I can't guarantee that everything that has been written before it will stay as is.NATEamx 08:54, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your comment. OK. Let me wait and see your editing, then I may discuss it with you and everyone. hiroaki

Jake and Hiroko[edit]

How are they related? The Hawaiian ukelele player Jake Shimabukuro and Hiroko Shimabukuro? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 61.9.74.146 (talk) 14:53, 15 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Unlikely statement in lead section[edit]

Seems unlikely. NotYourFathersOldsmobile (talk) 03:34, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment comment[edit]

The article does set focus on some points, but they have not yet been referenced. Also, as other editors have pointed out there is too little focus on her efforts as a solo artist. I would also like to see some more background information on her. Some parts of the article is biased, others uses terms that should either be explained or linked towards an explanation. - Chsf 00:56, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
