Disambiguate or eliminate?[edit]

Need some recommendations on what to do with this page and its related articles. There's a voice actor 糸博 (born March 15, 1933), affiliated with 81 Produce who has lots of anime roles.[1] Then there's a voice actor 伊藤浩資 from Yokohama (born March 16, also from 81 Produce), who was originally added in 2008 because he had some voice roles.[2] Since then he has not voiced in any major roles, and is not notable for the ones he has on there or on JA wikipedia. He is also no longer on the 81 Produce roster. A third entry, about an IBM Fellow who invented photoresists, has been redlinked for a while, and not developed into an article.

The disambiguation at present is worthless. Both of the first two entries are voice actors, and were even from the same voice acting company. Although one can be pinpointed to birth year 1933, the other doesn't have a publicized birth year. Disambiguating by the macron'ed "Itō" or by spelling variant "Itoh" is also useless as both actors on their resume list "Ito" in English.

Given the second and third entries are not likely to become decent articles, I recommend the disambiguation be undone and have all entries refer to the prominent voice actor 糸博. What process should be done? AFD? PROD? Boldly moving them? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:39, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The lesser known voice actor probably doesn't deserve an article, in which case the more prominent Hiroshi Ito would be the primary topic for all variants of the name. A hatnote mentioning the existence of another voice actor by the same name should probably be used to avoid confusion, even if there's no corresponding article. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:53, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll initiate PROD for the 2nd voice actor and then RM technical the rest. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:59, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
