Proper citation, please[edit]

I have deleted a reference someone put in the third section as inline text, in the format "Max Hastings Montrose: The King's Champion". (The quotation marks are part of the original.) This is not how citations are done. When someone does this, they are essentially demanding that someone else do the heavy lifting of creating a footnote, proper citation, page reference, and so forth. In any event, there was already a perfectly good reference there to another source (the one actually cited), so this little intrusion conveyed no useful information.
