Shallow much?[edit]

This article is bloody awful. So much is missing. I'm surprised this isn't being threatened with deletion. I can't personally be bothered to add more to this article but someone should. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.220.232.36 (talk) 17:36, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Daily Courant[edit]

There was a claim on the page that the Daily Courant was the first newspaper in London. I changed it to the first "daily" newspaper in London, though I can't say whether or not this is true. I do know, however, that the London Gazette was based out of London well before the Courant (though it was not daily).

Misleading Page Title.[edit]

This is clearly not the History of British Newspapers. It can be described as a History of English newspapers. Not one mention of any of the many newspapers created and published outside of England but within the British Isles which have a clearly defined history of their own - therefore the title is misleading the reader. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shenachy (talk • contribs) 16:04, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Scotsman[edit]

I draw attention to a questionable statement about The Scotsman made in the article—"Its modern editorial line is firmly anti-independence." What meaning would the casual reader ascribe to this? I'm for removing it, but would first invite comment from others. Bjenks (talk) 04:36, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
