Untitled[edit]

There is a large and uncritical section devoted to Gerard Murphy's controversial book which has already been ripped apart by other historians: http://www.tribune.ie/news/article/2011/jan/16/author-owns-up-to-errors-in-ira-cork-deaths-book/, http://www.spinwatch.org/reviews-mainmenu-24/book-reviews-mainmenu-23/5401-an-amazing-coincidence-that-could-mean-anything-gerard-murphys-the-year-of-disappearances etc.

At the very least the article should contain reference to Murphy's critics or have it appear alongside opposing arguments like that of John Borgonovo or else removed until there is a historical consensus about the extent of sectarian killings in Cork. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.221.55.75 (talk) 01:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Cork's city charter was granted by King John of England in 1185."[edit]

must be a different year or a different king... TheNusz (talk) 06:24, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seems the charter was granted, or at least presented, by 'Prince' John. See here as example. I've piped the link, with ref., accordingly. RashersTierney (talk) 09:26, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
