Talk:History of Italian citizenship

In general, this page does not focus narrowly enough on nationality, and contains a lot of material about Italian history that is also available elsewhere.

  • A short (one-to-three sentence) introduction at the start of the article would be useful.
  • The article contains a good deal of general historical information that does not pertain directly to nationality. Consider the relevance of each sentence, and remove what is unnecessary.
  • I'm not sure that your chronological structure always works. The "Age of Parliament" section, for example, deals almost entirely with voting rights--maybe it would make more sense to rework this section to focus on that issue.
  • Language discussion is interesting.
  • Give your own description of Italian nationality law, then give its history (which is not available at the linked site).

I would agree about that; it looks as if it concentrates on voting and civil rights more than nationality. So I will move it to have citizenship in the title --Rumping (talk) 10:14, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
