Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the content has been on the America's Cup page since years. I only transferred it to its own page, as it got to long. As far as I can tell most of this was written on that page in 2006 and 2007. See here in the history: [1].

If this is indeed just stolen content, the feel free to delete. I have written nothing of it.

BUT, this looks more like the page you reference has copied a lot from the former America's Cup page, as the source was only created in 2017. That's much later than most of the content was written on the America's Cup page. I would really urge everyone to go through the history of that page. I don't see a point in time, where this much text was added in a short period of time on that page. --V.Glas (talk) 23:26, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I further looked closer at the page in question [2]. They even cite the America's Cup Wikipedia page! You can see it even in the report. V.Glas (talk) 23:42, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Removed the speedy tag. This looks like it might in part be due to an overzealous Page Curation feature.
@PharyngealImplosive7: did you expect your curation tags to result in speedy deletion? – SJ + 00:05, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
