Limited references[edit]

One big problem is the lack of references, which may not give as high rate as an article with such topic deserve. The two main references here are:

  • CAF Magazine (CAFOOT) - February 2007 Special Edition for the 50-Year CAF Anniversay; five pages artice CAF Is Born extending from page 12 till page 17.
  • The other source is The Tessemas Net which may not of course be a reliable source to judge upon the article's neutrality, yet still the source of most of information in the article and a lot of details that were just mentioned as few points in the CAFOOT.

CAF official website is so poor as a source of any information of a real value regarding the article. More references as well as images are needed. Adel.M.Radwan (talk) 23:27, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article was written from Ydnekatchew Tessema POV[edit]

i would like to note that Dr Halim is displayed in a negative light in this article which is contrary to the truth about his character and the services he did to the CAF. it was Dr Halim who said to the Argentinian representative in the CAF in response to his comment that the African countries are weak in the area of football, that "football may be played with the legs but it is run with the heads" and thereby silencing him and winning the support of the other FIFA members. it was also Dr Halim who took out a loan on his own house to fund the African Nations Cup in Sudan when official funding was denied. and it was also he who stood firm against South Africa in the Apartheid issues and refused to allow their team to play unless it was mixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmhalim (talkcontribs) 10:44, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:46, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
