Name origin[edit]
What is the source of the claim that the name means "son of Richard"? That sounds bogus. I would rather expect it to derive from "hitch" and "cock", perhaps referring to either some mechanism or some bird. Elias (talk) 14:45, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
