Origin of the Village Name[edit]

I plan on editing this page in the next few days. As far as I know, the origin of Hoffman Estates has no relation to anyone named Buz Hoffman, but rather to Sam and Jack Hoffman, local builders. This content must be completely rewritten, not restored with minimal alterations. Compare the original with text added here:
  • "The land, now known as Parcel A, was located east of Roselle Road between Golf and Higgins Roads. The first homeowners began to move into the new subdivision in late 1955."

This varies from the original by the inclusion of three words.
