Rewrite[edit]

I have rewritten this article, partly because too much of it appeared to have been copied and pasted from the Broadway LA web site. It was also lacking in links to related WP articles. Whyaduck 14:42, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

Perhaps the article should be named Pantages Theater, since the theater is located in the U.S. and not in Europe. I think the convention is to use American spelling for articles about American entities, and British spelling about entities outside America. A London theatre would be spelled theatre: for example, Globe Theatre. If the article's title is modified, the word theatre would be changed to theater throughout the article. No. The proper name of the place is "Pantages Theatre" so any other spelling would be incorrect. However if American spelling is used in the article then the word theater, when used generically should have the "-er" spelling, but any mention of a theater whose offical name is spelled "-re" should of course use the correct spelling for that venue.
