Wikifying[edit]

This page needs a serious clean up, the middle section being a fairly ugly list with little or no formatting, hence the 'wikify' tag, which I'm gonna re-insert. If you feel this is wrong, pelase discuss. --Robdurbar 07:44, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wififying?[edit]

What the heck does wikifying mean? Sorry I don't speak Wikipedian.

That's ok! - it takes time to get used to editing here!

It means that:
  • wikilinks need to be inserted (that is links to other pages in Wikipedia. This is done like [[this]] , which would produce this.
  • it needs its readability improved
  • it needs facts etc. checked
  • it needs its focus to be rethought etc.

A general guide to a good article can be found at Wikipedia:Manual of style or Wikipedia:How to write a great article. --Robdurbar 07:45, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikified as part of the Wikification wikiproject! I fixed some links, added a sources-needed tag. The timeline needs serious cleanup, added a tag for it as well. JubalHarshaw 14:43, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rating[edit]

With some layout and reference/footnoting, this would be B-class.Rlevse 16:00, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

copyvio-blanking[edit]

Jergen has just copyvio-blanked Homenetmen, in order to bolster his argument for removal of Scouting in Syria. The Homenetmen article has been edited by dozens of users, there is no way the whole article is a copyviolation. Please review. If it was a new article by a single user, then it would be copyvio, this borders on POV. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 04:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Exile Organization Categorization Incorrect[edit]

I have grave issues with categorizing Homenetmen as an "exile organization". Exiled by what and from where? This is a gross representation of what Homenetmen is. The best way to describe Homenetmen is an Armenian diaspora organization. In case of Homenetmen it is also considered pejorative. If you mean it was exiled from Turkey, well there were massacres, so naturally they would cease to operate there. If you mean exiled form Soviet Armenia, well all non-state organizations were prohibited there, its not that they had any grievances against Homenetmen as such. If you consider exiled, meaning Homenetmen had a "political" agenda to topple the communist regime, something it never contemplated. Anyway since the early 1990s, it has absolutely free activity to operate in Republic of Armenia. Finally if you think Homenetmen LA or Homentmen-Montreal or Homentmen Beirut established in later days are organizations in exile, well you are stretching the truth real thin. Armenians are not in exile. I am asking for a reconsideration of dubbing Homenetmen as an exile organization. I am sure the Homenetmen administration itself will be the first one to object on being dubbed an Exile Orgnization particualrly after the early 1990s. werldwayd (talk) 20:14, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If there's a category for that, what's stopping you from changing it? This is Wikipedia, run with it! Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 04:38, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
