Priority[edit]

I cannot find information for the remaining stations on the Korean Wikipedia and would appreciate it if anyone can begin some articles on those. Thank you. JPBarrass 15:36, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move and total re-edit[edit]

As discussed at Talk:Korea Train Express, this article mixes up the description of a train service (the Honam KTX, currently using the Gyeongbu High Speed Railway until Daejeon and the conventional Honam Line from there) and the description of an infrastructure (the future Honam High Speed Railway). In addition, the title of the article fits neither the Anglicised name of the service, nor that of the infrastructure, in reliable sources.

For these reasons,

  1. I have copied the description of the Honam KTX service into a new section of the Honam Line article and significantly expanded it;
  2. I will soon move the current "Honam Line (KTX)" article to "Honam High Speed Railway", and replace its content with a more detailed description of the new infrastructure;
  3. in the coming two days, I plan to implement similar changes to the current Gyeongbu High-speed Line and Gyeongbu Line pair of articles;
  4. during or after that, I plan to re-edit the current Template:KTX Lines, which shares the service-infrastructure confusion, in a way that both services and lines are mentioned.

I also note that I am dropping File:Ktx-network.svg from all the articles. While its caption could be adapted to reduce the service-infrastructure confusion, the line diagram will be outdated with the opening of the second phase of the Gyeongbu HSR in just 11 days; and again with the December 15 start of Gyeongjeong KTX services to Masan and the April 2011 start of Jeolla KTX services to Yeosu, the inclusion of which would make the diagram too complicated. --Rontombontom (talk) 18:02, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
