RR suffix[edit]
I have deleted some unsourced speculation about the meaning of the "RR" suffix in CBR900RR, etc. Honda has given many "meanings" to its trademarks, so there is no one, "true" definition. In an article on Honda's Worldwide website, the "father" of the CBR900RR Fireblade, Tadao Baba, clearly stated that the CBR900RR was not a racer replica:
Miyagi: The CBR900RR came to us from a very different path than the RC30, but it would be safe to say that it’s not a racer replica? - That's interesting and all, but obviously it wasn't Baba's call. Otherwise they wouldn't have named the bike "RR" if it were up to him, but they did. That said, RR has a variety of different meanings on bikes, "race ready" or "racer replica" or whatever, and generally all of them mean the highest spec or most racy version. Or whatever the marketing department thinks will make you buy the bike. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 23:03, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
