Opening summary confusing[edit]

What does it mean to say the car was "forcibly entered" in the opening summary? Pheonix1977 (talk) 22:51, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Pheonix1977: It means that Honda management insisted that the car be entered - Mike Lang's Grand Prix Vol 2 says "... Honda RA302 ... despite protests from by Surtees that the car was not yet raceworthy. Honda, however, insisted that the car should be raced to back up a French sales campaign..." But I've removed the word "forcibly"; I don't think it adds anything (exception confusion) and Surtees' objections are detailed in the next paragraph.
