2005-2006 Squad[edit]

Why is there 56 players on this roster??? Isn't supppose to be no more than 25 players on a national team?? It looks like an American Football roster. A lot of these names need to go.

Brazilian jokes[edit]

It would be nice if the article show the newspapers and the tv programs where brazilian players made jokes and fun at Honduras. I´m brazilian and I do not remember any of this things. Digodf 16:09, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputable "Fact"[edit]

I erased this : "Honduras is the only Central American football team to defeat and eliminate Brazil in an important and serious tournament (Copa América 2001 in quarterfinals)." This is highly diputable and can hardly be considered a fact. Mexico has also defeated and eliminated Brazil in a major competition, at least once that I know of (1999 Confederations Cup). Whether or not Mexico is part of Central America is disputable, you could argue that it is as much as that it isn't. The UN classifies Mexico as part of Central America, so that is enough to not be able to make this claim.. ~~Kane 021107~~

I am sorry but I disagree, Mexico is clearly not a part of Central America, see Central America. Thanks, SqueakBox 06:17, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SqueakBox please read that entire article, specifically "Usage" where it is clearly stated that the definition of Central America is not finite. The UN and EU disagree in this matter, and frankly I believe that is enough: see United Nations geoscheme. What you are re-inserting is simply not a "fact." ~~Kane 051107~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.214.51 (talk) 02:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually now that I noticed, three of those "facts" are simply not facts, since Mexico can also make those claims. ~~Kane 051107~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.214.51 (talk) 02:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As the article is about Football we should actually use footballing definitions rather than political definitions. Certainly my football country, England, is not a country politically but it is in terms of football. I suspect the footballing world would not define Mexico as a part of Central America but I'll see if I can come up with some references. Thanks, SqueakBox 02:58, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok then let's use the football definitions which qualify Honduras as part of CONCACAF along with Mexico and the U.S. I am not trying to slight Honduras in any way, they have a football tradition that they should be proud of. I am just trying to get to the best article. I happen to think that Mexico and Honduras are in different regions. But it is too much of a gray area to claim as fact. Let's consider inserting other helpful less disputable bits instead. ~~Kane 051107~~

Source for number of caps and goals[edit]

What is the source for the number of caps and goals in the current squad and recent call-ups sections? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:13, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

U20 and U17 records[edit]

U20 and U17 records shouldn't appear in this article, national football team articles are for the senior teams not for the youth teams, plus the Honduras U-20 and U-17 already have articles, those records belongs in there, not with the senior team article, maybe what should be done is include a link to those articles in the Records section, something like:

Youth team records

Since nobody has reply I guess none is oppose to the change, so I will implement it right away. --Bocafan76 (talk) 06:50, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
