This article is written in Hong Kong English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, realise, travelled) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
Let's have a discussion. Should everything in the list of events be in present tense or past tense? I say

Blair is listed here as being present. I found this reference, which says he boycotted the handover ceremony. However, I also see this image which attests to his presence at some point. Did Blair boycott at lease some part of it? Ohconfucius (talk) 07:21, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the back cover of 'The Last Governor', a book by Jonathan Dimbleby recording the last 5 years of British rule in Hong Kong, Chris Patten is quoted as saying 'Nimrod' was playing as the British flag was lowered and not God save the Queen.
