Hook, line, and sinkerHook, line, and sinker (disambiguation) – The primary topic of this phrase by historical importance is Fishing tackle#Hook, line, and sinker. The disambiguation page should be moved so the title can redirect to that section. bd2412 T 02:32, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose - primary topic of this phrase is the euphemism. The section headings within Fishing tackle#Hook, line, and sinker seem to be written in that order perhaps as a not-so-subtle nod to that euphemism, which is perhaps a disservice to readers since the sinker is only an optional component (much like floats, nets, and even the rod itself are optional). I feel like when that section on the fishing tackle page is approached more seriously, this redirect would be totally inappropriate. Most people coming to this DAB page are probably looking for one of the works listed, not actual fishing tackle. -- Netoholic @ 03:44, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, I don't think there is a primary topic for this, but I think the idiom (and derivative titled works) are more common than the literal meaning. olderwiser 10:35, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - either the primary topic is the euphemism, or there is no primary topic, per google books, google scholar and google news. Even in fishing-related scholarly articles it seems that as often as not it is used as a euphemism. Whether the euphemism is the primary topic, or there is none, redirecting to English-language idioms would not be helpful so keeping the DAB page where it is is the only viable solution.
