Moved to this talk page until this innuendo and rumor, found on the main site since May 2007, a contribution by an anonymous user, can be confirmed:

Although Hoquiam has a small town charm, the neighboring Aberdeen has the highest rate of crime in Washington state (relative to density). Aberdeen is jokingly called "Meth Capital USA" by the Hoquiam police force. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reportersteven (talkcontribs) 16:29, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Misidentified photo[edit]

The photo caption "Eighth Street, 1884" is not correct. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoquiam,_Washington#/media/File:Hoquiam,_Washington_(circa_1884).jpg

First, the date - 1884 - is years too early. Electric railway cars of the type clearly visible did not exist at 1884.

Second, the street railway system in Aberdeen and Hoquiam did not open to 1904. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:A1F0:BD0:B01D:ABCC:2F35:EB22 (talk) 21:40, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
