Etymology wrong[edit]

"Hordley takes its name from the Hoord Family of whom Henry de Hoord (c.1170) is the first recorded member." It must be the other way round, as it is called Hordelei in Domesday. The manor was given by Odo to Shrewsbury Abbey, (cf Eyton, vol 10) which let it to a family who became known as de Hordley. Sjwells53 (talk) 13:20, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Post Office[edit]

"On one day there is a post office set up in the village hall."

There appears to be an omission - is it one day a week or month?Cloptonson (talk) 12:42, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
