I've resurrected this complaint and added the template. This data is incredibly outdated now, and is worth mentioning to casual viewers. Especially as the new census comes out, this needs to be updated badly. 160.39.16.142 (talk) 16:49, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Broken reference[edit]

Reference 42 is no longer accessible via the link provided. Also, the way it's quoted in the article is strange. "…[a]verage earnings ranged from..." What does "[a]verage" imply about the formatting of the reference? I can't find the census.gov publication to figure this out, either.

I'm sure some other references are bound to 404 as well, given how old this article is. Should they just be kept up, as is?

You're right, the wording is confusing (the last sentence is best, discussing increasing degrees and increasing earnings) but 2006 numbers are now outdated and could be replaced with the newest from the Census bureau.
