Removed from Category:American lawyers (for now)[edit]

I temporarilly removed this article from Category:American lawyers because it never mentions the subject actually practicing law. It only discusses his other activities. If the article is later expanded to mention him specifically practicing law at some point, then go ahead and place it in the appropriate subcategory of Category:American lawyers by state.Dugwiki 20:03, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism?[edit]

Much of the text here seems to be lifted directly form his Newsweek bio. (…unless it happened the other way around of course.) Is that allowed?--Another-sailor (talk) 09:23, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Intro/infobox photo[edit]

Hello, with this edit I replaced the prior infobox photo (taken in 2008) with one that is more up-to-date (taken in 2012). I'd also like to note upfront that I do have an employment relationship with the subject of this article (Howard Fineman). This article does not currently meet Wikipedia's standards on reliable sources, and as User:Another-sailor noted above, certain parts seem to be copyright violations. These are the areas of the article I intend to bring in line with the Wikipedia policies and manual of style. In order to respect WP:COI, I won't be making any substantive direct edits to this article myself. Instead, when I do come across something that warrants revision, I'll propose it here on the Talk page (and perhaps on WP:BIOGRAPHY) so that other editors independent of the subject can assess the viability of my suggestion.

Regarding the photo in the infobox, do others think it should be cropped or left as is? Cheers, Jeff Bedford (talk) 22:12, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just an update on the above--since the image in the body of the article was quite blurry and pixelated, I replaced it with the previous infobox photo (which is more relevant and of higher image quality). At this time the infobox photo was also updated. The two photos now in the article were chosen because they help to illustrate what it is that the subject of this article is notable for. Due to my close connection with the subject of this article, I'll continue to refrain from making any substantive direct edits. I consider the revision of the photo (with a Creative-Commons-licensed image) to be uncontroversial and minor, so it is an edit I deemed appropriate to make. Feedback is welcome, so please feel free to comment if you have further thoughts on the photos in this article. Regards, Jeff Bedford (talk | COI declaration) 02:10, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
