Don Sturdy?[edit]

The article mentions that Hesseman worked under the name "Don Sturdy". In the commentary on the recent WKRP DVDs, Hugh Wilson says the name he used was "Donm Stroud". I'm not sure which is correct, but for what it's worth, there is a person in Austin, TX of some local renown who uses the name "Bongo Don Stroud" (IMDB entry). -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:01, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One of Hesseman's earliest appearances, while still affiliated with The Committee, was in his role as the hippie drama teacher in 1971's Billy Jack. He is credited there as Don Sturdy. Lyn (talk) 03:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC) 03:36, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to Radio Waves (book by Jim Ladd) HH also went by Don Sturdy during his stint as a DJ. DFS (talk) 11:13, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changed the spelling of his "Dragnet" character's name from "Chaplain" to "Chaplin". Edit summary indicates the source was the end credits of Season 2, Episode 1, but it was actually Season 3, Episode 1. Skeetin (talk) 08:32, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional TV credit[edit]

Appeared as "Craig Pleger," one of the members of Dr. Bob Hartley's new unemployment group (jobless people providing each other support) in the 1974 episode "The Jobless Corps" of "The Bob Newhart Show."Maccb (talk) 02:55, 9 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Howard Hesseman[edit]

I'm not sure of how to edit but I'm watching a 2005 film called crazy for Christmas. Howard Hesseman plays an eccentric millionaire named Fred. This isn't in his Filmography, if someone could add it that would be great. 77.102.167.144 (talk) 08:30, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
