There ought to be a check on the reported death date of 15 May 1912 cited to Bye Gones. Tony Percival's Shropshire Cricketers 1844-1998 places his death date as 19.5.1912, ie 19 May 1912, four days later. Percival may have had more extensive sources than the writer in Bye Gones.Cloptonson (talk) 19:22, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, have read the discussion now archived. I would say in response to it having been found he died on the Wednesday which was the 15th of the Month, I can support that. Would try to report back to Percival (who gave me a copy of his book between 2002-2005 because I was researching one of his subjects and the latter's contemporaries) though I am not sure he is still living. Conceivably '19' could have been a typo for '15'.Cloptonson (talk) 20:35, 10 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
